Hiền tài là nguyên khí quốc gia

Từ xưa đến nay, câu nói của Thân Nhân Trung: "Hiền tài là nguyên khí quốc gia" luôn là chân lý bất biến, nhấn mạnh tầm quan trọng của trí thức đối với sự tồn vong và hưng thịnh của dân tộc. Nguyên khí – sức sống cốt lõi của một quốc gia – không chỉ là nguồn lực vật chất, mà quan trọng hơn, là trí tuệ, đạo đức và khát vọng của những con người ưu tú.

Hiền tài không chỉ là những người học rộng, hiểu sâu mà còn là những cá nhân dám đối mặt với sự thật, phản biện và đóng góp ý kiến vì lợi ích chung. Tuy nhiên, trọng dụng hiền tài chưa bao giờ là bài toán đơn giản. Trong một số giai đoạn, trí thức bị xem nhẹ, thậm chí đối xử bất công, dẫn đến "nhân tài như lá mùa thu". Nhưng chính Hồ Chí Minh đã đưa ra bài học sâu sắc: "Dựa theo ý dân mà cất nhắc cán bộ, nhất định không thiên tư thiên vị." Người khẳng định rằng hiền tài không thiếu, chỉ cần một cơ chế minh bạch và lòng thành thực sự để mời gọi và sử dụng họ.

Trong bối cảnh hiện đại, đất nước muốn phát triển bền vững cần không chỉ biết trọng dụng người tài, mà còn tạo môi trường để họ phát huy tối đa khả năng. Đặc biệt, cần khuyến khích và bồi dưỡng lớp trẻ - những hạt giống tương lai của dân tộc. Một xã hội biết tôn trọng trí tuệ, nơi mà người có tâm và tầm được trọng dụng, sẽ là nền tảng vững chắc để đất nước bước vào thời kỳ hưng thịnh, sánh vai với các cường quốc năm châu.

Hiểu và thực hiện đúng tinh thần "Hiền tài là nguyên khí quốc gia" chính là cách tốt nhất để khơi dậy nguồn lực trí tuệ và tâm huyết còn tiềm tàng, đưa đất nước vươn xa hơn trong tương lai.

Since ancient times, the statement by Thân Nhân Trung, “Talented and virtuous individuals are the vital essence of a nation,” has stood as an immutable truth, underscoring the indispensable role of intellectuals in the survival and prosperity of a country. This "vital essence"—the core vitality of a nation—encompasses not merely material resources but, above all, the intellect, morality, and aspirations of exemplary individuals.

Talented and virtuous individuals are not merely those with profound knowledge but also those who dare to confront truths, engage in constructive criticism, and selflessly contribute to the common good. As Karl Marx aptly stated, “An intellectual is someone who does not compromise with the truth.” Through the courage and dedication of such individuals, a robust foundation for national growth and protection is forged. Vietnamese history vividly illustrates this: from the patriotic calls in Trần Quốc Tuấn’s writings to Nguyễn Trãi’s monumental “Bình Ngô Đại Cáo”, each emerged from the wisdom and devotion of patriotic talents.

Yet, the recognition and utilization of talent have never been easy. Periods of neglect or unfair treatment of intellectuals have often led to the lamentation that “talent is as rare as autumn leaves.” Hồ Chí Minh, however, imparted a timeless lesson: “Rely on the people’s will to appoint officials, ensuring fairness and impartiality.” He emphasized that talent is never scarce; what is needed is transparency and a sincere commitment to nurturing and employing it.

In today’s world, sustainable development requires more than valuing talent—it demands creating an environment where talent can thrive. Particularly vital is fostering young intellectuals, who represent the seeds of a nation’s future. A society that honors intellect, where individuals with both heart and mind are recognized and respected, lays the groundwork for a prosperous future, enabling the nation to stand proudly on the global stage.

To truly embody the spirit of “Talented and virtuous individuals are the vital essence of a nation,” we must awaken the untapped reservoirs of intellectual and moral strength, paving the way for the nation to achieve greater heights in the years to come.
